Rob Anderson is a professional electrical engineer who has been a part of a wide variety of interesting and challenging projects during his long career – 37 years to date. He has taken on the challenge of providing holistic security solutions, based on sound engineering principles, for a wide variety of clients both local and international.
Secure estates, both office and residential, have become his speciality and his clients have included estates such as La Lucia Ridge Office Estate, Zimbali Office Park and Residential Estate, Thesen Islands, Gowrie Estate in the Natal Midlands, Helderberg and De Zalze in the Western Cape, Villa Valriche in Mauritius and many more.
Warrant Office Bongiwe Gqotso
South African Police Service
Bongiwe is a Warrant Officer, acting Image sub-section commander (Image Analysis) in the South African Police Service, attached to the Scientific Analysis Section of the Forensic Science Laboratory as a Forensic Analyst in Pretoria. She has 10 years practical experience in the forensic science laboratory as a forensic image analyst. Among her many skills, she specialises in capturing still images from CCTV footage or video, performing image enhancement and providing photo albums for investigation purposes. She also performs video authenticity inspections, checking if the footage has been tampered with or not, and attends crime scenes to download video footage from CCTV systems.
C3 Shared Services
John Cowley's role at C3 Shared Services is that of strategy and services director. John is the chief executive for the Black Swan Group and has various other directorships in advanced technology businesses. After completing his business commerce degree at the University of Johannesburg in 1992, John started his career in the telecoms and information technology, as business development executive. He underwent further training to expert-level in ITIL Service Management, which included the definition and delivery of Service Level Agreements, to large clients. From 2009 onward, John was a founder member of various companies that developed their own technologies in the conversion of low value waste streams - into high value products. During this time John funded and directed the development, R&D and commercialisation of various new disruptive technologies - as part of his role as CEO - at Black Swan Group.
Val De Vie
Danie Bosman is a professional technical manager who has been a part of security systems designs and on-the-ground implementation. After 11 years in the industry, he started focusing on the technical aspect from a very young age. Being involved successfully on big projects at top estates in South Africa, namely Val de Vie Lifestyle Estate, Atlantic Beach Golf Estate, Pearl Valley Golf Estate and De Zalze, he built up an immense amount of technical experience in estate security.
Hannes Hendriks has been the estate manager at Serengeti Estates since its inception in 2007. He holds a B Mil (Commercial Science Degree) from the University of Stellenbosch. He is also a founder member of The Association of Residential Communities, and is the chairperson of the Residential Community Council of South Africa.
Hannes left the SANDF in 1992 with the rank of Lt Col to join the public sector as Departmental Head of Public Safety, Health and Welfare for the City Council of Kempton Park. In 1994 he was appointed as the Executive Manager in the Kyalami Metropolitan Municipality and in 1998 he joined Booz-Allen and Hamilton as a senior associate.
Kelly Mclintock is a security and technology industry veteran with 23 years' experience in the industry across the African continent, Middle East and Far East. Before starting Blacklight Integrated, he held a number of senior management positions in the industry. Kelly is currently vice chairman of ASIS Chapter 155 (now ASIS South Africa), chairman of the Blacklight Group of Companies with South African and US interests, and has partners which span the media, finance, electronic security, networking and conservation industries. Kelly is busy with his MSc in Global Business and ASIS PSP and CPP certifications. Blacklight is currently a holder of marketing rights of a number of technologies, one of which is LiDar and Radar technologies.
Quintin van den Berg
Bosch Building Technologies
Quintin van den Berg joined Bosch Building Technologies in 2016 in the position of security systems product manager, responsible for sub-Saharan Africa. His responsibilities include product strategy, competitive positioning, defining and implementing sales and marketing strategies related to the Bosch video systems, intrusion alarm systems, and access control and management software portfolios. Quintin gained a wealth of experience in the security industry having worked with a number of well-known international brands over the past 15 years in roles varying from key account management, specialised sales channel management and product management.
Shaun started in the IT and technologies industry. He has worked in the surveillance industry for more than a decade now. With experience across every aspect of the industry he also has extensive knowledge about installations all the way through to project management. Shaun has been involved in many projects from housing estates to multinational projects. His strong technical background has allowed him to excel at his role as a business development manager.
Don has been working in the surge and lightning protection industry for 13 years. His business, Drensky Technologies, has been successfully operating for the last five years and its core business is the protection of electronic equipment, this includes surge and lightning protection, voltage regulation, UPS systems, solar, generators and industrial wireless solutions. Clients include local and SADC African businesses, hospitals, mines, shopping centres and gated estates. Don is a certified and accredited installer with the Earthing and Lightning Protection Association of South Africa (ELPA SA).
